If you’re reading this, you most likely served our nation at some point. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your service.
The sacrifice you made to serve and protect those freedoms we enjoy on a day to day basis is nothing short of heroic. No matter the branch, no matter your role, we at Peace of Mind Insurance Group are eternally grateful.
VA Benefits
Our country affords those who served with several benefits, life insurance is one of them.
Through the VA (Veterans Affairs) our veterans and current servicemen and women have access to some life insurance options.
But what if you don’t qualify? What if it’s not enough insurance? What if you do not want a two year waiting period?
Well we can help. Private insurance is available to veterans and sometimes at better prices than even the VA programs can offer.
Additionally, the money afforded to Veterans for a plot isn’t exactly enough to cover the entire cost of the funeral and all of the other end of life expenses.
Your best bet would be to chat with us to see which of our companies you qualify for and how best we can help get those expenses covered.
Term Life Insurance vs Whole Life Insurance
There are two main insurance options. There are more, but some of them get pretty complicated, but it boils down to Permanent coverage vs temporary coverage.
Whole Life Insurance is permanent coverage. It lasts for your entire life. The rates are locked in at the time of your approval, and your amount of coverage and the price you pay never change. So long as you make the agreed upon payments. It doesn’t adjust with inflation, it doesn't change every 6 months or year like homeowners or auto insurance. It is the same for your WHOLE life.
For most people over the age of 50, the main and best option here is final expense, burial insurance. These are normally smaller and allow a wider range of health conditions.
But many people even above the age of 50 still have mortgages and other financial obligations. They still are making payments on their house and their car and they own business or their spouse relies on their income, you name it. This is where Term Life Insurance comes into play
Term Life Insurance can help ensure that you get more coverage while still at a reasonable price. But the trade off is that it will expire at the end of the “Term.” It Terminates. This means it is temporary.
What do I need? What Can I Qualify for?
Well that all depends on your health, finances, etc. The best way to find out is to have a conversation with us to see what you would qualify for even if it’s not with one of our companies and instead through the VA.
